Management Development Center
Leadership Development Program
The PASS Management Development Center (MDC) – From Consultant to Business Leader
Systematic Development of Management Skills
At PASS, career development doesn’t end with project responsibility. Through the Management Development Center (MDC), we systematically prepare selected employees for higher career levels within the company. In the program, you’ll develop the skills needed to take responsibility for customers, employees, products, and financial results simultaneously. The MDC combines content from areas such as strategy, leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development into a comprehensive management program.
Why the MDC?
Führung lernen – Verantwortung übernehmen
The MDC is more than just a training program. It is a targeted preparation for leadership roles at PASS.
Participants learn:
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
- Leading employees and customers
- Decisiveness in complex situations
- Navigating economic conditions
- Future-oriented topics such as disruption caused by AI, the future of work, and resilience
The goal is to develop employees who can not only manage projects but also shape parts of the company.
The MDC spans a longer development period and combines various learning and practical formats:
- Five to six thematic modules
- Kick-off event and closing session
- Combination of virtual and in-person formats
- Independent study of specialized literature
- Presentation and discussion of content within the participant group
Format & Organization:
- A total of approximately seven sessions (kick-off, approx. five modules, closing)
- Sessions partly in-person, partly virtual (including off-site sessions)
- Sessions take place partly during the week (afternoons/evenings) and on Saturdays
Methodology:
- For each module, participants study selected textbooks
- Content is prepared, presented, and discussed collectively
The modules are modeled after programs at leading business schools and were developed in collaboration with the APRIORI Center of Expertise.
The program systematically develops key management skills. The course content also takes current trends and topics into account. For example:Strategy & Economics.

Learning from Experts
- Exchange with executives and external speakers
The workshops are led by in-house experts, external speakers, and the PASS executive team.
As a founder-led company, top management is actively involved in the program. This creates a forum for discussion where participants work directly with the company’s decision-makers.
Practice over theory
Management skills are developed through projects
All MDC content is closely linked to real-world practice at PASS. This makes the MDC a genuine step forward in professional development—not just a seminar program.
General Conditions & Expectations
Time Commitment:
- Participation in the MDC is in addition to regular work duties.
- Preparation, reading, and meetings do not count as work time
- Initiative and good time management are essential
Handling scheduling conflicts
- Meetings are scheduled to be as predictable as possible (evenings / Saturdays)
- Personal commitments should generally be given lower priority
- If commitments cannot be rescheduled, a solution can be found on an individual basis
Who is the MDC intended for?
A unique opportunity for professional and personal growth
The MDC is designed for employees who:
- wish to take the next step in their career toward assuming managerial responsibilities
- have an interest in strategy, leadership, and business contexts
- are willing to invest additional time and energy in their professional development
- demonstrate initiative, the ability to reflect, and a willingness to learn
- aspire to assume long-term leadership roles within the company
Participation is voluntary and self-directed. Since the groups are small and involve close interaction, a high level of commitment is expected.
Developing leaders rather than filling positions
PASS grows thanks to people who take on responsibility. The Management Development Center is a key component of our strategy to develop leaders from within our own ranks. After all, sustainable business success comes from people with an entrepreneurial mindset.
